Sometimes I think Jane Austen can be quite lazy:
“How soon he [Edward Ferrars] had walked himself into the proper resolution, however, how soon an opportunity of exercising it [proposing] occurred, in what manner he expressed himself, and how he was recived, need not be particulerly told”
- Actually Austen I would have quite liked to hear how Edward proposed to Elinor, so thanks for that. Grrrrr.

A Card From Angela Carter by Susannah Clapp arrived today with some lovely gold foiling on 140gsm woodfree jacket:
Now it may be because I work in Publishing and in the production department at that so I automatically check how the book’s been put together but first thing I noticed was that it’s been bound upside down.
