Hello, what's this?
Reader, sewer, gamer, painter, watcher of television and films, not quite succeeding at any of them (except maybe the tv and films bit) but trying.

This week we did some “night painting” from the balcony overlooking Putney Rail Station. It was really fun even though you couldn’t really see what you were doing (or what colours…) but I’m please with how they turned out. It was nice to paint outside for a change even if it was at 9pm!
Watercolour and pencil sketch - onions

This week’s lesson at my watercolour class was to use pencil with watercolour. The idea was to experiment with ways of using the pencil not as an outline but as part of the matrix of the painting itself.
