Bee - printed from lino block
Bee - printed from lino block
In tonight’s art class we did lino printing, I’ve never done this type of printing before so I was really looking forward it. It was so much fun and everyone’s prints looked amazing.
This is my bee and its printing block. Now I really want to invest in a lino cutter and some ink, really addictive!
But we love unicorns.
The production/publishing geek in me loves the bottom right one. Don’t confuse what’s on your screen with what’s going to print. CMYK > RGB

I know! Shame I can’t take the credit for it!
It’s going well I’m really enjoying, learning lots about printing and how books are made. Getting to know all the lingo: GMGs, DPIs, TPS (that’s trimmed page size dontcha know), GSMs, Pantones, Spine blocking, quarter-binding, H&T binding, section stitched, matt laminated gloss paper, woodfree paper, UV Spots and much more! Soon I shall be a massive printing/paper geek :)
I’ve got a couple of reprints to look after now so I can get to know how it all works. All very exciting!
