This week we did some “night painting” from the balcony overlooking Putney Rail Station. It was really fun even though you couldn’t really see what you were doing (or what colours…) but I’m please with how they turned out. It was nice to paint outside for a change even if it was at 9pm!

The thing about painting is, like most things I always think it’s going to turn out better than it does. And like most things it looks a lot easier than it is. So I’m probably going to stop now because if I try to continue and save it I’ll make it look even worse.

I’ve got my first watercolour class tomorrow evening and I’m quite excited!
I’ll be aiming for something like the wonderful David Hockney above and falling somewhat short I imagine.
